I previously had Vista x86 installed at home, no problems. I heard that the x64 version is better for different reasons, so tried to set this up instead. I've got it installed, but my refresh rate is locked to 60Hz, not good on a CRT. I've had a google search, but they all seem to recommend getting different refresh rate lock applications, none of which do the job. I remembered that nvidia use to do a similar feature with their driver software, but unfortunately, i have a geforce2 mx (yes, i'm leading the field i know lol) which while supported under vista x64, doesn't allow me to install the drirvers for as their unsigned. Can anyone help, other than telling me to upgrade my display setup.

Whilst usually I wouldn't comment with anything but totally useful advice - GeForce2 MX?!!! Christ dude, have you gone back to the future?!

I didn't realise it was even supported in Vista, which also makes me wonder as surely a supported card would have nVidia signed drivers?

Yea, it works in Vista using the drivers provided with the OS, but i can't get my hands on the nvidia drivers for the geforce2 mx. I've had a look on nvidia's website, and there not even listed there

No idea whats the rest of the spec, does it even run vista..

You could pick up a cheap gfx card for £20 of MM if a signed driver would solve the problem.

Don't get what you mean by the first line?

Yea, i've already made a post on the mm in the wanted section, after an AGP 7600 GT.....

He means that if you're only running a GeForece 2 what are the other specs of your machine? I would bet money that this is a driver issue, in which case a new GFX card would do you the world of good, but we need to check that the rest of your machine is worth running Vista x64.

It's a fairly decent system tbh, just a crap gfx card:

AMD x2 3600
2 gig ram
nforce something or other mboard
3 HDDs - 1 Samsung F1 1TB, hitachi 400GB, maxtor 160GB
