Hi.

Well some people might think the amount of bars it takes an OS to load does not mean anything, but, since I took my CPU Cooler off, re pasted and placed back on, windows takes 11 bars to load!!, now I defragged the HDD, got rid of crap, and it took 4.2 bars to load then, but now it's back to 11!!, and I'm trying to get it back down again but I cant, I used my ghost image which was one that I did right after slipstremaing Vista and got it to load in 3.5 bars, but still 11 bars!!!.

even with the CPU and everything at stock I'm still getting these high amount of bars to load :(.

Any idea whats causing this?

Thanks
Willz.

I know it sounds stupid but you do know that the amount of bars taken isn't an indicator of any kind of performance right?

I find with mine on a fresh install, it takes 3-5 bars to load. Then, when I add Intel chipset drivers, it jumps to over 10.

Performance within Windows and games certainly improves with the drivers installed though! :)

Summary - It could be anything, and it doesn't matter.

hard drive speed and chipset drivers are the things to look at, as tute said though, as long as windows speed is ok, don't worry
