So my plan is to have the Vive set up in the lounge while my PC will stay in the study.

The plan will also involve being able to relocate the light houses with relative ease when I'm dong seated VR vs Room Scale; though hopefully I'll one day be able to buy extra ones and Steam will allow for dual room set-ups...

Basically, I need to cables to extend the link box an extra 5 meters into the room.

My 980ti has 1 HDMI and 3 DP outputs. My monitor is one DP.

My thoughts at the moment.

Use a DP to MiniDP 5m cable like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0191XW4...lid=2ST901E4N1BK2&coliid=I3IX6TR3DSUMVM&psc=1

And a USB 3.0 active extension like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00MPMFK...lid=2ST901E4N1BK2&coliid=I1XVORJSKTX2GI&psc=1

Then I'll stick a 10m HDMI to HDMI cable through to the lounge TV.

I've been reading the threads on Reddit and it's all been rather more confusing than I first thought.

Should the DP to MiniDP cable work? It's labelled as a male MiniDP to DP cable and I was assuming it's bi-directional and will work either way?

Or would I be best getting a good 5m HDMI for the Vive and coming up with a 10m DP to HDMI solution for the TV?

Also while the Vive is USB 2.0, the fact it's only 5m the USB 3.0 cable seemed affordable. I'm assuming it would work?
