A while back I remember reading that VM would be increasing all 20mb customers to 30mb.

Did this rollout ever happen or is it still planned?

Just wondering as the lack of a BB line is starting to get annoying and I dont know if I can wait another month for the rumoured sky friends n family offer

Hmm,

So free upgrade but you gotta pay for the modem.
I suppose it makes people ready for the further increases and of course will mean those that had modems that were struggling with speeds like the older ones get a better modem and also docsis 3 ready afaik.

Has anyone confirmed it includes the 3Mb up?
might also be worth checking if doing this upgrade also ties you into a new contract.

How much does it cost?
New and existing customers:
Free when you add or upgrade to 30Mb broadband,
50Mb broadband or 100Mb broadband
£75 when taken with 10Mb broadband

For those that like arguing with VM CS ;)

Im tempted to order BB and a line from them but hang back on TV.

Also can anyone confirm the 3meg up upgrade for NEwcastle, NE16 please?
I can't view PDF on this shoddy tethered connection :(

Apologies for contracty Q..

If I phone at a later date and add the TV (if the sky thing doesnt happen) would they start a new contract or would I have a 2nd contract for TV only? OR would they allow me to up and down apckages without penalty within my contract as long as I don't go under my original package?

Getting more and more tempted, just checked the STM info, tbh it seems fair, I do a fair whack of downloading and uploading but I dont mind setting it til after midnight tbh.

Think the only time it would be of an inconvenience is say theres summit on steam I want pay and download there and then, thats about it tbh.

Hows everyones superhubs treating them?

No it was capped at my old upload rate of 768kbps. Besides the issue is that it cripples browsing for ages after I've closed the blummin thing down! I can understand it doing it whilst torrenting when no bandwidth limits have been set, by why on earth is browsing affected for such a long time afterwards?

Tried altering you conncetions and globals?
