VM 50Mbit and a 54Mbiit Linksys router

Bit of an odd question but what is the likely hood that this kind of router will handle the full throughput of that speed service?

If you mean over the wireless, then zero chance.

Without knowing the exact model it's hard to say how it will do on a wired connection, though people with WRT54GL's report they can handle the full line speed (though some also say they can't).
