Vodafone accidentally grants admin rights to its forums

Thats going to be a mess to clean up.

Wonder how often they backup, might have to roll back to last nights backup.

I wonder if VF will follow up on this, and track down any IPs based on what certain accounts did?

I reckon this was a DB hack personally, and not poor sysadmin practice (well security aside).

Ditto, I was at work when curiosity got the better of me and I logged in to see what all the fuss was about. That said I did nothing apart from view the new posts, so if they did want to investigate they'd see nothing malicious in the logs.

I expect if they did go after anyone it would be the people who abused their new found mod powers, post deleters/editors, those who suspended/banned users. They're busy forums anyway, don't fancy being the poor admin who has to trawl through those logs if it comes to it.
 
Yeah looks like they cleaned it all up, posts go up to 3:15pm as do new user adds around that time. There's a 3 and a 1/4 hour gap where they had them offline, I bet someone is on their way home for a beer. :)
