Is the current vodafone PAYG mobile broadband dongle compatible with osx? Some websites say it works and some vodafone boxes say "mac compatible" . But vodafone say no. Anyone had any luck or have one?

Haven't tried one myself, contract one works fine so the dongle works, it'd just be if the software is different. Vodafone's mac software has historically been really bad of course...

Afternoon everyone,

You can find more information about running a mobile broadband dongle with your Mac by clicking here.

Please be aware that the K3520-Z will not work with the 64 bit version of Snow Leopard, all other devices will work fine.

All the best,

I mean wtf, is voda stalking this site? thats the second voda employee I've seen on this site in as many days (!)

There seems to be a spate of hardware manf coming on here seemingly trying to do damage limitation

I have no problem with it if they are actually helping people get problems resolved, it's better than spending hours on a customer service line talking to someone with limited knowledge. I have first hand experience of trying to get through to second line support at O2 broadband but being forced to jump through the hoops of the customer service representative.

There are a few O2 employees on here too who have sorted out peoples problems in the past. The difference is that they are actually full time members of OcUK and happen to be in a position where they work to help out people.

Glad I stumbled across this thread.
Got one of these for Xmas, seems to be working fine.
My question/gripe is. How do you disable the icon in the finder bar?

OK, fantastic - why was vodafone charging me for every text I had on my contract (even though I had 500) and now wont pay it me back? This was a dispute ages ago and they told me to basically **** myself.

Vodafone are truly awful.

Give them a break, it's reasonable enough that they do the web relations thing, it's a good idea and helps both users and the company...

I've no love for vodafone personally due to billing disputes in the past but they're providing useful info here so no need to take your personal problems out on them, call customer services...
