volvo radio code

hi dont know if this is allowed but the radio died

so i pulled out all the fuses and put them back

now its asking for a code

ive seen some site on the internet where you can post you serial and someone will get you the code

can someone on here help

If not can anyone tell me the name of some software that might do this?

Just go into your local Volvo dealer they will look the code up for you. Thats what I did when I needed it.

you can just ring the volvo dealer.
so long as it's the original stereo for that car then they will know the code

Yep, did this myself yesterday in fact, just give them your reg and they'll tell you the code. So much for security, although I don't think there's much of a market for original radios from 850s. Be sure to say 'you've had some work done' rather than 'it broke and I tried to fix it myself' though
