Hi folks,
For a few months now I've been writing for Dread Central, one of the biggest horror media sites on the web. Total Film have recently opened polls for their Movie Blog Awards 2010, and we're seriously in the running to win it despite a lackluster beginning.
As a totally nameless presence, they took me in and gave me a forum to do what I've always wanted to do despite falling into the "real world" dead-end job circuit - write about film. In a few short months this has led to some recognition, gaining more contacts and access to the biz, and even quoting from Film4. Being involved in a site with this accolade would just be amazing for me, and they (we), in my opinion really, really deserve it.
OcUK is the best community out there, in my opinion, and the funnies, squabbles, trolling and everything in between never fail to provide massive entertainment day in, day out - hell, even in work I have this place on constant refresh. So, I wish to ask if you could all help us out, and in turn help bolster my CV in pursuing an occupation that I truly, truly love by giving us a vote?
If you do decide, please just one vote each (and let others you know to vote too). I really don't want anyone using IP-cycling bots etc. to scam votes.
As an aside, as part of my new contacts, I'm charge of a giveaway within the UK for copies of the new Street Trash and Blood Feast 2 DVDs, which are well worth owning. Please do enter the competitions - we don't use your details for anything other than the giveaway, so even if you don't like horror but have a mate who does, please enter!
