VPN do they work?

Pete is right, going through a VPN will be limited to the network speed of the VPN, which if it's a free one I'd be surprised if it was particularly fast.

You could just use a non-standard port if you're using Usenet, otherwise if you're using Bittorrent you're probably SOL.

yeah this is what the support told me :)


The best way to find out would be to take a 24 hour trial, by using our service BT will not know what your doing but If they reduce your speeds during certain hours then this might affect the VPN speed, as a VPN will only be as good as your connection. But as mentioned best way would be to take a 24 hour trial and test It first.

Sorry to double post ...but what is a usenet and how does it work ? any links to one would be helpful :)
