Shall I invest in:

16GB CL14 3200mhz RAM

or 32GB CL16 RAM 2400mhz

[I went for the 16GB but can still return]

I also do 4k video editting from time to time...
I'm not sure if I regret buying the CL14 RAM now.. as to upgrade my rig to 32GB is going to be costly if i need it in the future...

thoughts?

My personal opinion, always go for more RAM rather than faster RAM. As I doubt anyone notices a difference between the (nano? micro?) seconds timing difference when in use, even in VR gaming. But you'll definitely notice it in things like video editing where large amounts of RAM makes a difference.

Thanks.

I ended up going to CL14 16GB RAM as somoene had posted on the CPU part of the forum.

It was the question of 16GBCL14 3200mhz or 32GB CL16 2400mhz.

i hope the 16GB is enough for video editting 4k a bit.

It was a question of:

Corsair Vegance LPX 32GB RAM 3000mhz C15 XMP High Performance Desktop Black £270
or
CL14 Trident RAM 16GB 3200mhz £200

I thought the Trident CL14 3200mhz was the gold standard pretty much?

Should I return the trident?

Bump, if anyone could please help advise me.

I’m not sure whether to now return my trident cl14 ram 16gb and get 32gb Corsair vengeance ram for 270 cl15 3000mhz.

I usually edit 8bit 4K videos.. maximum 5 minutes clips.
