Had it on the rollers today, made 233.5hp but was on 97 Ron fuel, needs 98 for max power.

Airbox lid off sounds soooooo much better :)

How does that compare from the results you got at Powerstation m8? Much difference between the different rollers?

Sounds nice, what you need is the AEM V2 CAI as then you get that sound but better throttle response too and it removes the dreaded heatsoak the S2000 suffers from.

PS it got 245hp, that was on BP ultimate. To be honest I should have put proper fuel in it and reset the ECU as i have put 95ron in occasionally. Damn Honda's so difficult to tune. Got a decat to go on it, but need some new bolts as the current ones are rusted up. £25 for the 2 bolts from Honda

Went out in a 315hp Rover today (what mine could have been), jesus, fastest car I have been in. Silly fast, made 290hp from 4500 and held over that till the redline. 331lb/ft of torque too. Good job it was dry :p

Get someone to host the original then, i can if ya wants, won't be till tomoz though.

Put it on filevend.com, you get a direct download link then ;).

Certainly does sound evil .

I guess this may be a measure of the engines I'm used to, but those people who reckon that engine sounds "mean", or "evil".....I'm not getting that. Sounds great, sounds fairly meaty even for a small-displacement 4 pot. But evil? Mean? Not to these ears.

As I said, it does sound great though. I had the chance to drive one once at a trackday, but I was given a choice - S2000 or an E-type for several laps. Predictably, the Jag won that round!

They are accounting for the poor sound quality though ;)

But yeah no doubt they are talking about it being a 4 pot. No doubt it's not as evil as a big V8

What put you off the S2000, would have been awesome to drive one on the track. Really is just like a big go kart.

Nothing really put me off the S2000 - but compared to an E-type, a car that I'd wanted to drive for as long as I've been into cars (most of my life)....it was never going to win that contest.

So both the rolling roads pretty similar then from the looks of things. :)

Yep the S2000 is hard to tune, I just did AEM V2 intake and Cat Back exhaust. Removed heatsoak issue added more mid-range and it revved quicker. Oh and with the JP exhaust it really did sound evil, scaringly similar to the sound of an R1 bike with race can. :D

All I can say is a Rover with that much power and torque must be silly quick once it grips. Guessing here but maybe sub 10s for 0-100mph?

Think the Rover would need about 350+ bhp to be that quick m8, well the MR2 tends to weigh just a little more and needs 360-365bhp to crack the 10sec mark

It probably weighs about 1150kg. Not sure, would do 12second quarters though definately
