Dont think we get launch control over here at least not on the Audis anyway. Which is a shame.

Oh right i know the A3 3.2 doesnt have it not sure about the 2.0T though. I assumed wrongly then

The 2.0T doesn't seem to have it (despite saying it does in the owner's book). You put your foot down at it's straining the brakes even at 2000rpm yet alone 3k where it's supposed to launch from.

DSG is a stunning piece of technology and I'm amazed no-one has copied it yet, although I've heard BMW are working on their own version.

Err, launch control doesn't strain on the brakes, that's the whole point. It just senses when you release the brake pedal and engages the clutch (or rather one of them

)
