Just spotted this, looks ok in all fairness. 300bhp, 4 wheel drive. And only £30,000.

Yay its another pointless VW a-la W8.

Perhaps they will sell 2 or even 3 this time.

Why anyone with £30k to spend on a saloon would chose a Passat is beyond me.

I hate the new R's too much bloody bling on the front and don't look sporty enough

800bhp from an N/A 3.6? What?!

people turbocharge and supercharge r32s all the time so I don't see the problem doing that to an r36

So really then the 'OMG 800bhp' comment applies to pretty much every car with this sized engine on the market and, as usual with penski modification suggestions, serves no purpose at all.

In 5 years time there will be loads of 800bhp Passats. Or not.

you could say that, but with the R36 there is more standing due to the amount of R32s with hundreds of bhp, although they are all the mk4 r32s, which look infinitely better than the mk5s.

Who would want to put 800bhp in a car that looks like it would be driven by a middle-management pimp

Being that there has been so much dev work on the R32, it would simply be adapting the existing stuff to the larger engine.

500+bhp R32s 'serve no prupose at all' but there are still several of them.

Err no. Passat's are driven by upper-management remember.

Bet they'll cost peanuts after 5years.
