I've just rebuilt a new setup in a silverstone JO7 case I'm using a triple rad with good flow rate and an artic block theres a hdd w/b in the loop.

Im using a Asus A8n32 deluxe latest bios the temps dont seem that great im hitting 54c after 30 mins of oblivion on the CPU idle temps are 35-41C.

Room temp is 26-29.5C

CPU is at 2.5Ghz voltage has been lowerd to 1.285V as i know asus overvolt a little..

Does these temps seem normal ?

My old 3.2 Northwood on a double rad hit around 27C idle on a double rad.

Only thing that makes me think its ok is my mates 4800 hits simlar temps in his W/C lian li 2000

cheers

i wouldn't say that sounded right, but i'll proberbly be wrong. my 3200+ overclocked to 2.75Ghz idles at 32*C with my CNPS9500 when room temperature is around 27*C, thing is though mine ain't dual core, its nothing to worry about though

Does seem a little high, i have an 3800 aswell, gets no hotter than 46C under load, right now is 35C idle (net browsing) My OC is only a little lower than yours 2.4Ghz @ 1.375V. Dont know the first thing about WC so i can only give a comparison mate

EDIT: on air btw

most mobo temps are nonsense, if its stable I wouldn't worry about it.

Comparing your friends or anyone elses to yours isn't worth the time you give it unless you get a proper probe and get a direct reading you'll never know what the temp actually is.

The point is even if your temp sensors are 10-20% out you're still in comfortably safe territory so I wouldn't be concerned.

I'm idling at 27 degrees with a 120.2 on a heavily overclocked Opteron 144 and X1800XT in the loop so your temps are really too high.

you're either in a walk in fridge or your temps are wrong mate.

Ambient would need to be under 20 for you to be idling at 27.

Thats just what my motherboard reports, it may well be off. My Opteron is IHS less with a LRWW on it, and I spent ages getting the mounting right, but you're right it does seem very low.
