Wait for it, Spec me a tin opener

when i actually read the title of this thread i thought it was a joke. i dunno how your in openers break tbh. what do you do to them?

imo my recommendation is just not not buy any tins! :p

The metal ones you get in Tesco are fine, the one I picked up at the start of uni has lasted me for 5 years and still going strong. Money vs timescale, spend £30 on a tin opener and you'd want it to last at least 50 years to get the same value out of it, and to be honest that's not really a huge concern for me. Use a tin opener, buy another one if you need to. Think of all the cans you can buy with the extra money.

Oh god.

Just get an all metal one, forget the plastic ones, and the metal ones with plastic parts. Find one that it all metal, all metal you hear!?

There was a thread a week or two ago complaining about all these "spec me" threads.
I didn't respond to that - but I can now see why people did.

People are just so incapable of buying even the cheapest, smallest item.
People want other people to spend their money for them.

Does OcUK simply attract the less intelligent?

Good topic actually. We need a new one as our all metal one has gone crap over the years.
My right thumb is weak so need something that moves easily or on its own.
Loving the gun with chain saw on, i'll see where i can find one of those!

Don't cheap out. It took an incident where i sliced my finger open, 2 trips to A&E and 6 stitches (first lot of stitches split open when i got home) and a drunk man at 2am whilst I sat in the waiting room, talking at me about why i should accept Jesus Christ into my life as I bled over the floor to learn my lesson. Why oh why did I cheap out! Lol.
