For the past 6+ months I've been living in a Hotel in Cardiff while I wait for my house to go through - I expect it to complete with the month :D

So how many would be crashing at said place?

That's what I'm trying to judge as obviously we don't want to take the mick. Plus I spose it's one thing having Andy or myself staying but whether you'd want to put up strangers is something else (hell you probably don't even want me or Andy! :D )

TBH, I've no problems doing a B&B both nights if needed but I think doing the first night in Cardiff is a good idea as we can all go out for steak & beer :)

Well a few weeks have gone by and Dave's post about moving in reminded me about it.

So who's still up for this then? We still going with the crash-at-Dave's first night (plus any necessary overspill into a Cardiff B&B) then second night at a B&B further North around the stages?

If so I'll start scouting some likely places to stop unless anyone is more familiar with the area and knows somewhere already?

guys, i've not bothered reading to the end of the thread, but the club i'm a member of is responsible for shakedown stage of the rally (it's not a published event as such, but marshalling on it gives the same benefits of free entry to the super specials etc) so if your interested, drop me a mail at tom dot walters at mac dot com and i'll send you some info :) and the club website too,

Done :)

I was thinking of going along to the rally this year, was going to go last year but couldn't.

Do you really have to pay to go and stand beside a dirt track in a forest? I honestly can't believe they can charge you for that, but if they do, I'm not going. Robbing barstewards.

sorry, missed this thread somehow. :(

i am planning on doing a track day on 30th november, so could make it up on the 1st or late on the 30th if this is still good to go. :)

looks like I am coming too, (to my brothers sheer horror!) booked my time off work, just gotta make sure my car doesnt blow up before the rally (brothers shoddy clutch replacement job ;))

This sounds like a go then :D

Dave, if you've already mailed Jest3r then I'll leave that to you to report back.

Failing any developments in that area I think we stick with the original plan and give the SS13 stage in the Millenium Stadium a miss as it just adds cost and complication and go with staying in Cardiff on the Friday night, possibly with some of us at Dave's and then Saturday either staying at a B&B around the stages or going back to Cardiff to crash at Dave's.
