Hi all, firstly thanks to anyone who replies to this. Ive been considering water cooling now for a very long time, but didnt really have the water (pun intended) to go for it...

My spec as in sig, something to go in my Antec 900, which also has blue cathodes, so a good colour scheme would be nice. I would prefer an internal reservoir of some kind as im not keen on the huge ones such as the big zalman towers, reason being is, i attend a lot of LAN parties and moving that would be qiute a hastle. Something to cool my Q6600 and my 2900XT with room to add another block if i want another card. Im not sure about coolant and how often it needs cleaning/replacing? Not sure on budget but im hoping for £100 is give or take as im not qiute sure on price and what to get. Any help would be much appriciated.

Matt.

To get something worthy of cooling that lot will cost upwards of £200. 2 loops, a 120.1 you could get away with for the GFX, a 120.1 or preferably a 120.2 for the CPU. All of which should fit in your case.

Well then £200 is my budget then :P
Have you got water cooling weescott?
Any help on what parts i should get?
Cheers,

Matt

You need to consider watercooling as a hobby as opposed to a key component of your system: air cooling has come a long way in the past three years and almost made the point of low-end/mid-range watercooling redundant.

If you want to do it properly, it will inevitably cost quite a bit more than the standard kits available in somewhere like this fine digital establishment. Is it worth it? Are any hobbies worth it?

I would say - without a doubt - absolutely, yes.

I'd do a bit of light reading, however, just to make sure it's what you need and want.

Well, once ive got my mind set on something i usually go for it. My air cooling at the moment is rather impressive and im not entirely sure whetehr to get rid of it. I have a Arctic Freezer Pro 7 Heatsink and have put a Thermaltake venus 12 fan on it (that fan gets upto 6000RPM!) The CPU has been lapped and got some arctic silver 5 paste on it. There are 4x120mm fans in the case and a 200mm at the top (comes with the Antec 900) i had two Zalman Fatal1ty FC-ZV9 on my X1950XTX's in Xfire. Which i have all connected to my fan controller. My Q6600 is currently at 32Deg stock and about 38-40 at 3.4 idle. GPU is 53Deg with stock cooling. Maybe all i need is a good cooler for my 2900XT?

Matt.

Edit: I dont have the X1950XTX's anymore.
