- Released mount camera. You can now look around while mounting.
- Fixed crash related to german localization.
- Localization updates.
- Added a reset button to key bindings.
- Fixed crash related to swings hitting at end of round.

- Fixed bug where headshots would not get headshot damage multiplier if helmet was hit.

- Made the maximum damage window for 2h clubs narrower.
- Moved around and added sweep points, made the collision models tighter and more accurate.
- Tweaked ranged attachments:
* Crescent quarrels and shafts now have 5% higher drop
* Broad head quarrels and shafts now have a 2.5% higher drop
* Hammer quarrels now have a 1.5% higher drop
* You can fit 40% more barbed quarrels and shafts in your quiver
* Reduced reload speed for pull-lever reload mechanism by 7.3%
* Reduced reload speed for push-lever reload mechanism by 6%
* Reduced reload speed for windlass reload mechanism by 7.3%
- Rebalanced revive perks.
* decreased revive bonus by 40%
* decreased surgeon bonus by 20%
- Fixed saltire opacity in coat of arms editor, go Scotland and Jamaica!
- Added a show_fps setting in %appdata%/Fatshark/wotr/user_settings.config

Missed from last changelog:
- Initial preparations for soon coming pitched battle game mode.
- Fixed lance couch, push and shield bash breaking if rebinding attack and block keys.
- Changed chat log so it is guaranteed to always fit all players when doing /list_players.
- Made chat log actually remove old chat items after a while.
- Fixed /list_players command for use when kicking or banning players. (see forums or multiplay for syntax of admin commands)
 
So then, War of the Roses or Chivalry ?

I've been watching a few YT vids and both seem to be pretty similar in game play with WoTR £24 and C:MW £15.

decisions, decisions !! any advice welcome.
 
Latest version:
- The /vote_kick command. Use /list_players to find steam id and then use /vote_kick steam_id to start a vote
- Server setting for auto kicking players based on a set ping limit implemented. Server owners can set ping limit and amount of seconds of violation before kick.
- Various updates to the Pitched Battle game mode.
- Players not yet spawned in an area spawn are visible to friendlies also not yet spawned.
- Deaths under influence of berserker perk not counted by stats/scoring fixed. These deaths now count as instakills.
- Getting kicked or banned now shows a proper message showing the reason.
- /kick_player and /ban_player rcon commands now allow a second parameter to state the reason for the kick/ban
- Outside of game RCON interface now has been implemented.
- RCON settings format has been changed to work with the new external interface and need to be updated manually.
- Save file version system change has caused custom profiles and coat of arms to get reset. This change is to keep future such resets to a minimum.
- All levels updated for Pitched Battle game mode
- Player collision against downed players fixed.
- New "English Breakfast" achievement added to celebrate collision fixes.
- Simple bill hovering in air fixed.
- Fix to some achievements not getting awarded.
- Countermeasure against "helicopter move" added.
- Separate key bindings for push and shield bash added. The core mechanics have not changed though, you still need to hold block first.
- Characters missing in font now result in '?' rather than ' '.
- Join from Steam UI fixed.
- Pitched Battle enters open beta! Servers will be available.


Pitched battle could be fun. May have to get back on this to have a go and see how it feels after the mayhem of chivalry
 
Had a go of this tonight, seems ok tho has some alt and tab issues like when u alt and tab out then back in its in window mode and if u alt and enter to do full screen its fs alright but in a very low res which is annoying.

The game is fun but unforgiving as i tried the tutorial it didnt help much after a few swinging tips it had no go here and do this or that etc unless i missed it.

When i did mp i was unsure how to change class or equip my toon the way i want to and i still am a bit unsure. All i know is you cant do much in mp lobbies u need to go to the main screen and adjust profile there kinda but even then im not sure u can upgrade stuff. Tho i only got to level 1 and unlocked guardsman but thats it no new weapons or armor to try or attacks. :/

Somehow ppl can attack a lot faster unless they just dont do charge attacks like i do which i thought would be the best idea. Axes are lethal as well as them broadsword wielding ppl who just one shot u. Not like i duno how to block and stuff its just for some reason when i attack i cant kill or even scratch em (how to tell if u hurt em i dunno yet). Ah well i did managed to get 2 or 3 lucky kills but i think they were unarmored units.

Guess timing is key and unfortunately due to servers i were on it was a bit of a lag fest with some people scoring in the 200-400 pings where i was 90 or below. Shame about that like.

I did like the gfx tho they were quite nice and detailed. Seemed pretty smooth im guessing a decent fps (didnt have fraps on at the time) with 1080p and ultra gfx options when doing custom settings.

Tho i feel i want a game like this for a change of pace its a bit hard to learn without going to utube or somit as tutorial was crap and didnt guide me much, mp which it only seems to be in this game as i couldnt see a sp option anywhere, is a bit unforgiving for new players imo. But on the upside it was fun when i did things right or was with some ppl and it let me have the chance to swing longer at enemies which otherwise i couldnt if i was on my own lol.

Price is nice but will i play it after the free weekend, i dunno. Anyhow those are my first impressions of this when trying it on free weekend.
 
I think Chivalry is the more fun game, not trying to hate on War of the Roses or anything (as a huge M&B fan), just my 2p :)

Yeah the game is very lag dependant. How can you reliably parry when your opponent is lagging. That's the downfall of the game really.

I have a feeling the hitboxes have a tendency to get confused when there's a concentrated group of players fighting, as button mashing seems the best tactic then. And I scored 3 headshots with the arrows, only 1 resulted in a kill which seemed a little odd.

But like you say the graphics + levels are really nice. The fonts + menu could do with making a little more presentable, but not that big a deal.
 
I take it there's no SP to it? I got Chivalry a couple of days and it's good fun, but I'd go for this as well if there was a semi-decent SP. Doesn't look like it though.
 
Yeah theres no sp.

Also i had another go today. That forest level is killer on fps, i duno why but i had bad fps on extreme gfx and medium gfx. I take it its not my comp but the level itself is just unoptimized as hell or somit.
 
If you alt+tab, just go on setting, change it to NO fullscreen and revert it. Just in case anyone didn't know... quickest way to do it :p

Easier still press ALT+ENTER.

I've been getting a few disconnects to menu lately. Kinda annoying when you're in the middle of a battle.
