Warhammer 40k : Rogue Trader - The people behind Pathfinder do WH40K

I started it this week. Definitely captures the feel of 40k that you get from the novels and the classic background stuff in the old rule books. Going to be a looong game from the scope of it.

enjoy! i didn't find it excessively long tbh, once you see the entire segment you can travel through it feels like there's an enormous amount to explore, but aside from the odd sidequest its actually quite linear. i think i put about 70 hours in each time i played. Im looking forward to more content, it wasn't quite enough for me as a 40k fan.

Thanks for that, I am happy to put the hour in for a good game. It was very cheap on Loaded and I grabbed all but the latest dlc. Another distraction from actually painting minis .

Such an underrated game, absolutely brilliant.

Is it though? I think people who like CRPGs appreciate it for what it is, the 40K setting can be divisive though. Dare I say but both the genre and setting could possible still be considered a bit niche in comparison. That said I get where you're coming from too because if you like both/either of those things and had an amazing time, it can feel frustrating in a way that it goes widely unnoticed outside of said interest groups.

@Tombstone Post them in here when done, great thread for ideas/support/encouragement etc: https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/tabletop-warhammer.18260542/page-351

They weren't messing about with the DLC for this game were they? The difficulty spike is absolutely ridiculous.

I was tearing my hair out for a while with the fight against The Sire. In the end I just stuck it on story difficulty and got it out of the way. Baffling.

Is that the fight on the deck from void shadows dlc? If so, I had to do exactly the same because it was actually not possible to win that fight depending on when you do it in the game.

Yep that's the one. I honestly have no idea how a normal person is supposed to do that fight lol.

Some info on the upcoming DLC from the only youtuber I watch for gaming:

I 'played' the alpha of Dark Nemesis for a whole 20m, it somehow looks much nicer despite being the same engine, plays differently but I didn't want to see much of it so it's all fresh.
