There's this spice I've been using for years that can make me happily eat any vegetable (even the ones I don't like) by a company called A. Vogel Trocomare. Funnily enough it's actually made of vegetables, but it has a taste I can't describe and would highly recommend giving it a try if you can find it anywhere (some websites such as amazon.com seem to sell it from the looks of it: http://www.amazon.com/A-Vogel-Trocomare-Seasoning-8-8-Ounce/dp/B001ELL3FA)

Really work on your liking/disliking of spices. I'm sure you'll find you like some of them. Try cooking something plain (like a chicken breast) with just one spice and a pinch of salt. Each day use a different spice and by the end of a week or two you'll have found a ton of new flavours you like. Now you can try combining those with different vegetables/meat.
Good plan, will start trying that.

When you say you can't eat spices you then seem to say you can't eat hot food.

Spices aren't about heat, they're about flavour.

Paprika, Cumin, Coriander, Mustard Seeds, Cinnamon, Star Anise, Turmeric, Basil, Mint, Fenugreek, Cloves, Vanilla, Mace, Thyme, Sage, Rosemary, SAFFRON!

You don't have to have Chillies with seeds and so on, there's so much flavour there and you don't need heat at all.
Sorry, brain associates spice with "Oh god my mouth is burning". I guess things like Thyme/Sage/Rosemary/Basil I could work with, Cinnamon and Vanilla should be interesting of veg :p

If you like dips with tortilla crisps, try raw carrot sticks, you can only taste the dip (not healthy best saved for movie night) celery works good this way also.

I rarely eat 5 a day but have a juicer which is a easy way to catch up, carrot juiice is my favourite, tomato juice with grated ginger is nice and good for your tummy.. Also a blender for smoothies, my current one being punnet of strawberries, 3 kiwi friut, tub of greak natural yoguht and a lot of ice.
I do like the nacho cheese dorito dip, so could try that as well.

Veg doesn't do so well with cheese, better of with a rivta style cracker. Veg goes better with salsa, sour cream, gacamouile type dips. This is how i got my ex's chirlden into veg. (dont mean to sound condesing).

How have you had veg cooked before? Just boiled to a mush?
Also what do you mean it doesn't agree with your body. If its what I think, just carry on eating it, it may take a few weeks for your gut to adjust.

I very rarely boil veg, it's usually stir fried, roasted or puréed. You can also make stuff that has a huge amount of veg in it. Without it being a main component.

I really like Celery :p

Plus it can be dipped into all kinds of awesome sauce :)
One stick per half a jar of crunchy peanut butter, oh wait that's not healthy.

Peppers, sweet potato, a bit of onion and fennel, roasted with crushed garlic, lashings of olive oil, salt and lime juice is win.

Sliced up broccoli, peppers, onion and a bit of cabbage stir fried but left a bit crunchy with toasted sesame, lots of garlic and finished with dark soy sauce is winnage. Serve with plain white rice and roasted chicken wings (roast with soy sauce and a dash of honey.)

It's about getting the flavours and textures right.

Plain boiled broccoli = lose. Plain boiled cabbage = lose.

Add things that make it unhealthy again: cheese, cream, butter, fry.

Add things that improve the flavour: garlic, onion, citrus, seasoning, spices.

Stir fried white cabbage, egg thrown. In at end so kind of Coats/scrambles, served with gravy, so goes well with sausage and mash. Divine. Heavy on the pepper with cabbage IMO. And needs to retain a crunch.

Fried/boiled/steamed/raw, veg dependant of course.

Usually, even the smallest taste of something like carrots make me gag due to my dislike of it.

Boiling does seem to be the most common way i've ate veg, which is probably where the dislike comes from.

Yea, but peanut butter is awesome.

I appreciate all the feedback guys. I'll probably start with something simple like leaving lettuce in burgers, or adding a bit of spice/herb to some that I cook, or even just getting carrot sticks and dipping them in cheese (unhealthy but gotta start somewhere). That, or just coat them in ketchup.

Jonny, I love you.

Stir fry chicken noodles with peppers, onion, beansprouts and green stuff, with soy sauce is not half bad at all. Didn't get the toasted sesame though.
