Got a question about warranty on hard drives...
If I have warranty on my hard drives and they failure it allows me to send them to manufacturer for RMA right? Doesn't that allow a company to view your data on the drive? (assuming they have the tools to get it going)
Because if its faulty hard drive, you can't start it up and do a 0&1 write to it to 'erase' the data completley ???
or am i missing out on something?

so theres no way to completley erase your data before sending it off for an RMA?
