hi there guys. i purchased a macbook pro in early november. ive recently realised that it came with mac leopard, not snow leopard. my mum who got hers 2 weeks prior got snow leopard. is this right. surely mine should have been supplied with the most up to date os? theres no way of doing a free software update to snow leopard is there?

thanks for your help
:)

Wow a long time has passed since.

Just go back in and show that you did buy the MBP in Nov and that it didn't come with SL and that you would like the upgrade disk (it should have been included free in the box, you sure its not there?)

theres definitely no snow leaopard disc in the box. came with a leopard reinstall disc.
yeah, has been a long time. was playing with my mums macbook pro earlier today and thats when i noticed the difference in os.
my mum should have a snow leopard reinstall disc, would i be able to use that to upgrade to sl or reinstall to sl on mine?

thanks for your help guys and hope everyones having a great christmas

gona go in to the apple store tomorrow to get it sorted. any advice regarding what exactly i should say to ensure i walk out having this sorted without paying extra for the upgrade

thanks guys
