Hey,

Followed the trend and gave my car a quick once over today. Took some pictures and it really emphasised how much it needs lowering! RSAP would be nice too, and i really need to take the remainder of the tow bar off. Oh, and detango. Damnit the list goes on forever!

Think a portacable would sort the "dimpledness" (new word there) of the paintwork out?

PS it's amazing how quick snow clears up! this was the scene 18 hours before these pics:

Very nice :)

You think your list goes on? you clearly don't own a Rover :p ;)

I only listed the "essential" mods...nevermind the exhaust / manifolds / throttle bodies / maybe cams / if i keep it long enough turbo or supercharger :p

lol, I would say lower it, clear side repeaters, bodykit are your main priorites :)

indeed :) along with getting the tow bar off :p

Do you think the new plates look better? They looked like this:

:)

Ive got a standard mondeo spoiler to put on it too, my parents next door neighbour runs a body shop and has said he can whack it on for nothing the next saturday that I'm free :D

Ive still not seen any pics of your car since you've personalised it Andy, get on MSN :)

you definitly need the RSAP kit lowering and detango she'll look great then.

I just noticed how comes yours hasn't got the colour coded tailgate handle I thourght all mk2's from from late 99 early 2000 had it

no idea mate, but everything on the car was chrome (wheels, interior door handles, grill surround etc) so perhaps thats why it's not colour coded?

You won't get mid 20's in town, thats about what I got from my 2.0 16v.

that's because you thrash the car everywhere  :p

I tend to get around 23mpg in towns, 21 ish if it is really stop start. Motorway i tend to get high 20s depending how i drive.....lead foot = 24mpg on motorways and very conservative = 33-34mpg

on the motorway in my 2.0 i always get above 40mpg unless its gridlock. Last few tanks i got ~450miles. Before that i drove to gatwick airport and back from stoke no probs on one tank, still had a weeks worth left. :p

But then i do drive like a grandad, i don't think the rev needle hase ever met the redline :( Very rarely do i go above 3k and mostly change around 2.5k :(

Maybe that's why you couldnt keep up :p You effectively have about 50bhp :p
