OK, So I'm ****** off with my mum, she has washed a pair of £40 jeans, that were black, I told her about the label, she said OK, and now they are some iffy shade of blue. She said she 'forgot' to turn the washer down from 60 to 40...

I am more worried about my 2 pairs of Ringspun jeans, they were about £150 for them both, and they are both coated black. How should I go about washing them?

Any ideas? Stick to the label or another way?

Stick to the label or wash them at 30. I'd be tempted to try and take them back saying you washed them at 30 initially yet the colour has faded rendering them faulty :p

edit: and who the hell washes clothes at 60 degrees?

60? Everything i wash is at 30C...and £40 is not much at all for jeans. They probably aren't real denim.

I doubt the Ringspun ones either.

Wash your own jeans next time! :)

Hi, if you need to rescue your jeans, go to a Supermarket and buy something called Dylon Wash & Dye just follow the instructions and your jeans'll be good as new

I wash everything at 30 just in case, i don't even bother to look at the label anymore and washing at 30 never did the clothes any harm.

I also learn it the hard way, £80 dark blue DKNY shirt washed at 40c went to a light blue, brand new shirt looked like vie worn it for 3 years non stop...

Oops.

Asking you mum or your girlfriend to wash something for you is just asking for it really.

They love making stuff shrink in the wash, they won't stop until they get enough!

The only time I wash my clothes at 60, is if they have hevay oil or grease stains - otherwise 30 all the way.

Bedding, on the other hand, gets washed at 60 - maybe once every few months, they get a 90c wash.
