Watch your drinks people

Also been told similar by my Physiology lecturer that there is very little evidence showing that such drugs cause these affects and most people have just drank too much or taken drugs before drinking.
Different strokes for different folks, not everyone reacts the same way to substances!

Or ket and alcohol = vomit.

i know people who have taken drugs and later decided to say they were spiked as a cover up story.

who wouldn't?

"hey dad, i was out then i snorted a line of ket and dropped 3 pills"
or
"I must have been spiked, I only had one drink, honest"
+1 I know who of a few people who have claimed to have had their drink spiked after having a few too many gary's, I guess it's not a bad cover story really...

Of course its a discussion. I of course believe my brother as he is not into drugs. But no one knows what they put in his drink could have been anything. The doctors just said it sounded like GHB due to the convulsing etc.

So they never actually performed a toxicology test? Alcohol can cause convulsions.

To the OP; I hope that you friend is ok.

A very similar thing happened to one of my friends from Uni when he went off to do a separate masters after finishing our course. Someone spiked his drink and he ended up having a seizure and in hospital for around a week. He had a bad reaction to whatever they spiked his drink with and the side affects continued to cause him problems for months afterwards. (So no, he didn't just "drink to much")
