Can someone name some watches sites (the more the better)

21st birthday coming up, mums gonna buy me a watch.

250 - 500 budget,

thankyou :)

Let me be the first to say you wanna get yourself a high quality replica mate as I have bought one this week (can't wait for it to come). For about 100-120 you can get a kinetic high quality eta movement watch of same if not higher quality than most genuine watches for 250-500 which is relatively cheap for any good designs. Omega, Rolex, Tag Heure you name it.

Please tell me your joking?

1 Rolex do not use ETA movements, omega do but they modify them a lot so it does not really resemble the ETA movement that much.

2 Someone that is making a Fake watch Is operating outside the law what makes you think they are using real ETA movements and just just some **** from China and telling you its an ETA movement?

3 Most watch lovers will see it and laugh at you and not even say anything to you (I know I do)

4 Don’t try and be something your not, if you cant afford a Rolex, omega ... or cant justify spending such amounts on a watch why give the impression you can?

5 Before you say you like the design you will find many genuine watches with resemble watches made by Omega, IWC and rolex without Brandishing the logo, go and buy one of them.

6 Dont visit Belgium

back to the OP, look on ebay, www.timezone.com and get a good used watch. If you know someone that can bring it back from the US you get a good used Seamaster for that £500 to £600

just get a fake rolex, got one from China for 10 dolla and also a fake Versace leather jacket made from dog leather for 15 dolla, you can't beat that.

www.blitzwatches.co.uk

no real need to buy from them but use it to get ideas

if you want a huge online catalogue try

www.pacifictime.com

they are in US so don't buy from them but it's a great place to see loads of watches

Rotty, I don't suppose you know of any good properly Authorised dealers that will discount and ship within the UK do you (Omega especially). I know the model number, but I'm struggling with the local dealers in Leeds trying to palm me off with old stock or giving pathetic discounts.

7:/ eta dont make a kinetic movement, afaik the copyright is owned by seiko ,
eta are a company that make watch movements and are owned by the swatch group.
*omega have made a 'kinetic' watch called the omegamatic, they couldnt call it kinetic tho because of the above, its usually marked as 'Quartz precision with a self-winding recharging system'

i've seen some reps which look fantastic, and unless you really know the knitty gritty about every watch model, you'd be hard pushed to tell the difference.

we aint talking about the stuff you get for 10 euros in magaluf, you can get proper swiss movements, sapphire faces etc.

ETA are owned by the Swatch group, and they make movements for watches, both quartz, and mechanical.

These movements (particularly the 7750, 7753, and 2892) are very often bought in, and used in watches by MANY OEMs. High end OEMs, such as Omega (also owned by Swatch) and Panerai, will modify the base movements, and badge them as their own calibers.

Example, the Omega caliber 1120 found in most automatic Seamasters is based on the ETA 2892. Omega take the base movemet, stick in a couple of jewels where they think they're needed (jewels are synthetic rubies, and are used to minimize friction), decorate the movement to make it look prettier, and stick it in a watch.
