Hi

OK! Just ordered my Xpert Vision 7600GT. Had a good look at the board layout and it looks like it's possible to water cool.....

Has anyone done it or am i back to air on this one?

Thanks

Ps. I'll stop bother ing you lot for a while after this i hope! :)

Should be easy enough to do. DD Maze 4/5, Aquaextreme MP-1 should fit. D-Tek Fuzion GPU block may fit or there are dedicated full cover 7600 waterblocks as well. These obviously cost more.

Yeah I thought all of what you said as well, but looking at the layout of the card i don't see how a Maze4 (which i already have) will fit.

And i can't find a full cover block anywhere!

For ref:

See the funny chip angle and the memory that receives cooling from the fan and heatsink? Does a Maze 4 fit on there?

EDIT: Just held my Maze4 over the image. The barbs point North-West. Not good.

Ideally i'd like a full cover block....

True...... just feels weird taking a "backward" step of going back onto air.

Are there any Arctic coolers etc that fit the 7600GT AGP. None of the OCUK one's seem to list it.

Do all the manufacturers just hate these cards???

i didn't really think that this card would need water cooling. its runs damn cool as it is. and aftermarket air cooling would be more than enough for even volt modded and heavily clocked cards.

The AquagraFX 7600GT full cover block for it is £40.22+vat but looking at your card i am not sure it will fit. I do agree with Cyber-Mav though. Air would be more than enough for that card.

Here are some you could use:-

Arctic Cooling Accelero S2 Accelero S2

Zalman VF700 should happily fit and maybe the 900 as well.

Thermalright V2 Copper VGA Cooler may fit.

You will have to check for compatiability but for a card such as a 7600 is it really worth spending £20+ (with the exception of the Accelero) on a new cooler?
