Hi All,

I recently purchased a 9800GX2 Black Pearl. Now, I was unaware it was a watercooled card so I am now unable to cool the thing as I have a air cooled system.

I am in trying to negotiate a replacement but the co I bought it from are not very forth-coming. So, say I cant get it replaced and need to find a way to cool it. Is there a cheap and reliable way to cool just 1 component?

I really like the look of THIS however it is more money than I was hoping on spending.

I would really like some advice. Also, if I do 'take the plunge' and water-cool the system. How likely is it that ill kill my new system?

I'm a bit old fashioned and always believed that water and electricity dont mix.

Thanks in Advance,

Will

Sadly for watercooling no mater how many waterblocks you have, you still need all the basic components.

Pump
Res (could be skipped)
Tubing
Radiator
Fans for radiator

However, assuming you're from the UK, you can return it to them within 14 days under the distance marketing directive (DMD).

If you can't return the item then I'd suggest you sell it tbh.

Although watercooling is awesome and pretty safe if you do it properly, you shouldn't really have to invest ~£200 just to get your new graphics card working.
