I'm currently paying £285.34 a year for my water which works out to £35.40ish per month for the 10 Months you pay.

I'm thinking about going to a water meter but don't know how much better off I'll be. Anyone have a meter and care to tell me how much it cost them for the use they get.

Cheers :)

generally, if you're in a property that's not full to capacity (i.e. a 4 bedroom house with only 2 people living in it) then you'll be better off with a meter. Saved my parents a bundle after me and my brother moved out.
in case you were wondering, it's about 89pence per cubic meter of water and 12 pence per cubic meter for sewage charge. Makes you wonder why people pay £1.29 per litre for bottled rain in the shops but that's going off topic...

Ouch, I never realised water bills were so much! There's only 2 of us living here so we only pay £12 per month :D

I pay about £250 a year on a meter according to that web link it said £165 so may not be that accurate .
I power shower about 10 times a week and use the water as if not on a meter so savings could be made but bah the loo soon smells if you don't flush and can't be asked to skin flint !
