Watercooled 3080/3090 VRAM temps - Copper Shim installation

Just FYI it's impossible to install an active backplate on the Asus x570 Formula motherboard- we've tried and it will not fit

Pushing +1900 on the memory.

Gaming temps are 52°C on the core and 64°C on the memory

All fans set to 40% regardless giving a near silent operation

That's a great delta temp. Mine seems to be settling back to 10c.

Yes I`m very happy with that and yes all on stock, not had a mess about with afterburner yet.
I did notice that yours was around 12c delta, it`s good that it`s settling down to around 10c now.

I have a 3090 FE with a EKWB FE Block and the idle temps are 28c and gaming around 55c (60-70c mem). I do use an undervolt 1900Mhz @ 867mV but since had to just reduce power limit to 73% to keep the energy bills a bit lower

Thats high temps for WC and an heavy undervolt
That card would be at the same temp or even lower with its air cooler put back on

My first time with custom a WC loop.

Both my 9700K @ 4.8 and my RTX 3080 are in the same loop as follows...

2x 40mm EK 360mm rads with 6 x Arctic P12 fans @ 1800rmp, an EK Quantum Magnitude CPU Block and a EK Quantum Kinetic TBE 200 D5. I wouldn't mind having some faster fans maybe...

My GPU now in summer tops out at about 50-52c (room temp 25c?) when gaming and in the winter hits about 46-48c with room temp about 20c?

My CPU gets a bit warmer but idles at 28-30c in the winter and 35c in summer with about 65c in gaming even tho its been delidded....!?

I'll never not WC a GPU again, my PC so bloody quiet took me 15ys to try tho...

Thanks for that, Alphacool as usual being weird with their details. The PDF you linked says it's for a Gaming X Trio but then says it's for a reference layout, which I do not believe the Gaming X Trio is. But that block looks like a new design compared to the one I have (which I'm convinced is simply poorly designed).

Oh well.

Definitely not reference pcb. I will say it didn't ship with the correct amount of thermal pads, as usual Alphacool good but slightly janky.
