Watercooling fixings

Biggest issue with compression fittings is getting both ID and OD right.

True, but if you used the tubing made by the manufacturer of the fittings it becomes irrelevant. I had the same problem when buying my first fixings and not realising Thermochill used a different screw thread to everyone else!!

For a first time water cooler its easier using 7/16 over 1/2 using the boiling water method (and some cable ties or clamps).

Just dont be fooled into thinking more expensive = better, do your research watercooling doesn't have to break the bank and can get some great results...but i cant help thinking next gen CPUs will not need it to get great results, we will know longer be held back by temps..we are already seeing this with air cooled Sandybridge being held back by voltage on air :(

Compression fittings > l used them on my first custom loop, had a look at both type's of fittings. So l went for compression fittings so easy to use and look far better, when my loop was finished just one slight leak, just nipped the compression fitting up. Loop has been up just over 5 months still water tight.
