Ive been looking around at some kits and have decided to buy everything seperatley. I am gonna try get some of the stuff second hand and tubing off ocuk.;) I was thinking of using a radiator out of a car, how affective is this? would i need to make any mods to it? or are there better ways to go about doing this?

thanks :)

I take it you mean the heater matrix rad? not the engine coolant rad? that would be massive :)

I've read people used to use these, as they were dirt cheap from scrap yards. But I guess nowadays they are only 30-50quid for a nice one thats designed to fit pc stuff etc..

ok....do u think i would be able to get this kit 2nd hand anywhere....i would like to use a heater matrix rad.....would i need to modify it in some way to connect tubing or is it same fitting?

I would use a real radiator designed for PC use they are much better at the job, I use Thermochill because they appear to be the best, I have 2X 120.3 Thermochills thought I might need 2 but they are so efficient even though I have quite a lot in the loop I only need to use one, the other sits under the table waiting for a new home.

it can be really cold...if the radiator is not on cus it has two outside walls and wooden floor. Im not sure what case im getting yet....i was gonna get that last

Well... i was gonna run it out of case then decide on a case suitable to the setup....i know its daft but i wanna try and get good watercolling equipment....and some of it used if poss to saver cost....id rather get used then the thermaltake bigwater because as u say its no better than air
