My Nexus 5 has survived some heavy rain, but I don't want my OP3T to go through the same hell. So, what option would be the best to keep my phone dry and keep it charging whilst riding?

Run out of battery today, when I was 50 miles away from home. Not fun, when you don't know where the F... you're. :p

I guess you mean when your phone is mounted on your bike?

Yes, I use my phone as sat nav too, so it would help to have a mount with a waterproof case and charging function. Its for those longer trips when the phone is on for 3-4 hours constantly... ATM I can't justify a Sat Nav.

I would just get one of those universal zip up cases in that case.

The other option would be earphones from your phone so you can just listen to the instructions

Or, you could use your Nexus as a dedicated satnav? I think UltimateAddons do a case for the Nexus 5
The problem with my Nexus is that its playing up, the GPS antenna would need replacing too.

+1 for Ultimate Addons but no idea if they do a specific case for OP3T...

It can be OP3, the T has only small changes like 16mp camera at the front, slightly bigger battery etc. Same size though

If it's raining put it in your pocket linked to a Bluetooth headset on your helmet, the battery won't be an issue as the screen is off. When not raining, in a ram mount x-grip.

I hate voice instructions, even in a car I just glance at the GPS from time to time.

Search for "BuyBits Waterproof Motorcycle Bike Handlebar Clamp Mount for OnePlus 3" on the Rainforest. Not cheap though..

40 quid.

Where do you guys get the X-Ram mount? I only seem to get US websites and amazon is like 50-60 quid. :o

You are easily looking at spending at least £50 on a decent mount and waterproof case I am afraid, most of the cases will be £30-40, plus the mount to your bike, either stem ball mount or one mounted around the bars, those are £15-20 on eBay.
Then if you want to charge.... another £20 for the wiring and converter?

Hows the cling film looking now? :p
I've used a sealed food bag and my mount a week ago. xD :p
