Website for finding house shares to live in?

I'm just in the process of job hunting, and as this is likely to take me away from home (which is not a bad thing!) i thought i'd try to look into accommodation sites. I'm looking for websites that advertise rooms in houses with other people. I think moving in with others will be a good way to get me started in a place where i don't know anyone :)

They're the one's i know of so far, but are there any others worth looking at? (currently looking for places in Bristol).
 
had a look on one of those sites and found it quite disturbing :eek:


some sort of cross between phsycos-are-us and a poorly disguised pick up joint :D

Agreed.

Tread with caution imho. "Couch surfing" lol?!?!

One guy was a writer who didnt have time to do stuff whilst finishing his novel and so was prepared to offer his couch for free to someone who could cook and do his admin for him.

Another disabled bloke said he "needed taking care of". :o :eek:

Remember these people will most likely be in breach of their contract by ssubletting, and if they ask you for a deposit or anything like that, the odds of them actually doing it above board are quite slim. You could find yourself a few hundred quid down with nothing to show for it.
