Wedding videography showreel

What with the other topic on wedding videography I thought it best to get all your advice and feedback on ours!

Literally knocked this up last night for my colleague's presentation tomorrow morning, but we'll be taking something similar to wedding shows etc so ALL feedback is greatly appreciated, positive or negative.

just got the part with the signing of the registers, we were told no photos or video while signing it due it containing our legal info.

Not a bad video by any means, although is it multiple weddings or just one?

This is all depends on how anal the registrar is to be honest - some let you film, some don't. I don't see the problem myself.

And yes, there's about five different weddings in there.

Thank you very much, that means a lot, especially coming from you

. It still needs some tweaking to remove some shaky shots and repeated couples, but it's the base. Our style is very much as unobtrusive/natural as possible - we're usually fully telephoto the whole time and never usher anyone. As such it's quite hard to get the gorgeous shots in the previous topic's video, but we try!

haha, how many weddings have you been to that has more than one bride and groom?

Really enjoyed the video, the editing worked well. It's all the simple shots like the sun shining through and reflecting off the wine glasses that really add to the video.

I have to say though, that I do prefer the feel of the video files that the 5D II produces over this. I'm not sure what camera you use but presumably it's some sort of pro dedicated video camera?

I know what you mean - the shallow DoF is so gorgeous and soft. Unfortunately, however much skill is or isn't being executed, it's all down to the glass.

We use a pair of Sony Z7's, they're great cameras with many advantages over the 5DMII, but of course can't compare to an f1.6 500mm lens when it comes to DoF.

This is the thing that other video had some very nice shots and set pieces but if you were getting married would you really want a camera in your face and get told what to do all the time by a pushy photo/videographer.
