Weekend Deals - Round 1 - Gaming Peripherals.

I already have a Saitek Cyborg V7, but I want that X4 keyboard and could have it as a spare, even though I already have a basic cheapo £6 spare keyboard.

Shall I buy it? I also already have a Saitek P2500 rumble gamepad which is good enough, so I dont need the X box controller.

Shame they don't do just a wireless receiver that can be used with the pc so that I can make use of my 2 black 360 controllers.

Can anyone give any clarification on whether the X6's apparent ghosting issues are actually a real problem?

I'm either going to get the X4 or the X6, I really like the look of the X6!

I got my wireless one, and was being a right numpty trying to get the buttons right for my mega drive games.

I couldnt find any comfortable way of placing button C because I was using A, B, X, Y as those letters, but then I remembered that the X, Y, Z keys are completely useless in mega drive games, and changed it to X=A, A=B, B=C.

Perfect, and 10x more comfortable than my Saitek.

I also couldnt handle playing racing games with the saitek because it was a little too wide and the analogue and D Pad were too uncomfortably placed, but it feels a lot better with the X Box controller. I just have to wait for Dirt 2 and Trackmania to finish downloading before I can try it out.

I have a couple of questions about the wireless controller for Windows.

a) Can I add a second controller to the same base at the same time, or do I need a separate base station for each controller? If so, can I just use a standard 360 controller for this?

b) Do the play&charge kits work on these? If so, do I just connect them through a USB port when they get low and they charge? Or is that 360 only?

I would suggest 1 wireless and 1 wired pad. 2 Wireless pads may cause you issues.

actually the crossfire adapter supports up to 4 devices (inc 4 headsets) i believe so you should be fine.... i am 100% certain through experience that 2 work ok however as i have had 2 on mine.

they work in that they charge your pad on any usb device, pc xbox or what ever..... they do not turn your wireless pad into a wired one however, the usb simply charges the battery but it should still work with the crossfire at the same time.
