Weekend Football; 31st -1st - *SPOiLERS*

it's a can't lose day for us tomorrow, one team or both is going to make it very hard for themselves and we'll still be clear with a game in hand over any potential winner.

Is that 4 or 5 away games in a row Spurs have conceded in the last minute to rivals around them?

There's not a team in the world who concede as many last minute goals as us, makes me sick.

I really do keep expecting you to pull out of the relegation zone, but you just... well don't. If Toon beat Sunderland and West Brom you could be looking a bit sick

Who are your next fixtures against?

A lot of rumours going around saying that Keane won't be in the squad again tomorrow. Some are even saying he wasn't at training today either, hinting at a transfer (or if you're not a cynic, he could be injured).

man you can't sell him after 6 months, that would be just giving in too easily. besides you've no time to get anyone else in. must be an injury.

To be honest, when your manager comes out with:
"They have to do things properly. They have to make an official offer and we will say yes or no,"

"I think he is a long-term part of our plans, I hope he scores lots of goals."

It's quite clear that he isn't in Benitez's plans, otherwise he'd be telling Spurs to **** off. That statement is begging for an offer for him.

I don't think we will sell him (he may very well be in the squad too). They are the rumours going around though.

@Linoge: Im not sure where those quotes came from. He was asked about Keane in the press conference and just said that we have wrote to Spurs to get an explanation to what Redknapp said and when asked whether they made a bid he said he doesn't think so.

Him and O'shea are playing as bad as i've ever seen a pair of full backs play.
And park is doing sod all, as usual.
I thought Park had a pretty solid, hard working game as per usual, especially as his duties in the first half were primarily to help Neville out.
O'Shea wasn't great, but he is solid. Him and Vidic are the only 2 players to play in every one of the 12 game clean sheet run, so he's doing something right :p.

Are you Gibbo in disguise? Are you Gibbo in digsuise?

the thing thats completely absurd about the whole thing is, everyone in the entire damn world except apparently Wenger, knew the guy wanted big money. If he was never willing to offer it why have we wasted the entire transfer window on a player we wouldn't realistically be able to get, in a position almost our entire team is capable of, with reserves and youth players to come through in the same position, while ignoring the one position NO ONE in the club at any level can play in, the position we are most desparately in need of players for and the position that is arguably the most important to the team right now.

Likewise, if wages are such a big deal and players only get moved toa higher bracket after years of excellence, whey did Adebayor get a MASSIVE bump after one terrible season and one great and incredibly lucky season. Considering he WAS on a long contract already he wasn't just going to smeg off if we didn't give him more money. He goes on and on and on about money, wages and not liking to spend, then throws away what, 2-3mil plus probably a signing bonus to double Ade's wages which was always a terrible idea.

Its just embarassing. Frankly Bullard, 5mil, proven prem quality, upset at not getting more than 25k a week, would have been perfectly happy on a 30-35k a week 3 year offer, would have been good for immediate first team in the centre or right wing, and cheap enough wage wise that when everyones back he is just a rotation/backup player but has experience and quality we need in our rotation players.

It was on the BBC site this morning:

It's clear he doesn't fit in his plans, if it was Torres, you bet your ass Benitez would be stating that he is not for sale, that he's a Liverpool player, etc etc.

Benitez added: "We are not happy with Spurs. We have told them we were not happy with their manager's comments in his press conference about Robbie.

"We were very, very correct when we signed Robbie even though Spurs were complaining. Now we have this situation to deal with.

"But Robbie has been fine. Spurs wanted the player but they had to do things properly.

"They have to make an official offer and we will say yes or no. You must do things properly, especially when you have complained about everybody when he first joined us."

On another note, I'm sick of people commenting on VDS having an easy run to breaking this 30 year record (which speaks for itself). Yes, he may have faced very few shots, but that's because the defence have been outstanding not because, as Steve McManaman would have you believe, that every team we've played have been poor . We've been clearing crosses fantastically and throwing ourselves infront of long shots or simply stopping it.

I remember people going into raptures when Cech did it.

Someone on here the other day was stating that VDS wasn't even very good.

Too right he would. If a decent offer came in for Keane im sure we are willing to listen to it though.

Maybe that's from the press conference with the written press.

Really don't understand what's going on with Keane anymore. If the rumours are true and he does leave I hope to hell we don't get Jenas or Lennon. Jenas wouldn't offer us anything in the middle and Lennon simply wouldn't get a game. It's turning in to a farce and one the club doesn't need.

Spurs cant sign him anyway, not till the summer.
He cant move back to the same club within a year.
"Rule L19 forbids players returning to clubs within a year, but the League can waive this at its discretion. "

If he gets a move, it really will be because liverpool dont want him, and nothing else, as they will have to petition the league to get shot of him back to spurs.
