Hi, I'm 18 and play Rugby. Currently, I'm around 11 stone and have an extremely quick metabolism meaning that I find it very difficult to put on weight no matter what or how much I eat. Ideally I would like to build my upper body strength and mass.

What sort of products are on the market for reasonable price and are they safe to use?

Food, its safe to use as well. No seriously though - protein shakes and the like, anything which means you get more calories.

Classic, lots of upper body mass and eating loads - the goal of every teenage boy.

1) Your not eating loads, if you were you would gain weight
2) Nobody just adds mass to their upperbody, if you want big arms you need big legs. Fact.
3) There is no product that is going to make you big, eating and training are all you need right now.

Eat 5-6 meals a day, with each meal containing a good amount of protein, good for developing muscles and your metabolism.

Eat more than you use and you will gain weight, but don't pig out or you'll just add fat, which is a bit pointless.

1 - sports arena
2 - you will not be eating enough and im pretty sure you do not have a super human metabolism :p
3 - eat, sleep, deadlift, squat, bench, overhead press.

I was in a similar position to you at your age.

Couldn't work out why I could never put on much weight despite eating loads and working out. I did a calorie count over the space of about a week and found despite 'eating loads' I was only consuming about 1700 calories per day at an absolute maximum, usually less. This was the problem. I recommend you count up what you're eating because I bet its less than you think it is :p

What it boils down to is fat people are fat because they eat more and do less than me. I've watched a few at work and I would never be able to keep up with their calorie intake :D
