Welcome to the World X Æ A-12 Musk

Nice. His mum's called Precious and he has a sister called Celebration.
That's not so uncommon - A lot of Africans give their kids both African names and a name English, which is usually a favourable quality they wish to bestow upon their child. It's lke instead of giving them a name that means XYZ, they just call them XYZ directly.
I've known a Charity, Talent, Faith, Delight, Hope, Strength and a Governor.

He might be a billionaire now, he's perhaps got personal trainers, stylists etc.. but the nerd is still there underneath it all:

^^^^ That's this guy talking:

I think having an unusual name means the kid can't blend in to a crowd. So hopefully he's not a meek person.

I remember calling a boy Shirley would be a laugh.. till I saw Big Daddy (only people of a certain age will know the reference :D)

But they're not stupid. They must know the kid will have a hellish time trying to get on in the world with a strange name, especially in school.

Trolling the world would be completely in-character for Musk.

Some of the people who inflict silly names on their children aren't stupid.

That's interesting. Several years ago I came across this kid in London called Le-a. I wonder if it was the same one. I could never forget the name. Like Dis86 said, it's not a myth, I met this kid and her mum.

I think this girl will be 18 or 19 now.

And Blessing. I love those names.

Ah, so they are going with the Futhorc runes. Or maybe the Elder Futhark runes. I don't remember the differences. But they're sort of using the wrong symbol in that they're using a mashup symbol made from the Roman alphabet. Which is sort of right for later early medieval or maybe high medieval, but they really should have gone for the proper rune. Which I can't remember and wouldn't know how to put it in here or even if that's possible...

... it looks like a capital F but with the horizontal lines sloping downwards left to right.

So I was right...

A-12...wasn't that a USA military plane...yes, it was a high speed high altitude spyplane that was very similar to the more famous plane developed from it - SR-71 Blackbird.

So...a symbol for an unknown value, an Old English letter and a USA military hardware code. Maybe their next child will be called z Thorn M1A1.

But I still have no idea why anyone would want to inflict that nomenclature on their own child.
