I wouldn't be, if people can figure out the failure point which resulted in the crashing of a plane I'm sure its possible to find the origin of the fire in a largely intact car, the starting point if the fire is usually quite easy to identify.

I suspect that they were doing it to prove a point. I agree entirely with them though, undermanned fire crews shouldn't put their lives at risk. Different story for a different day though.

Where is the battery on a E60 M5, passenger side? I'm guessing the fire started from that side.
