Just don't use crappy gloss on radiators, goes yellow in about five minutes.
Use satin if you have to, gloss is pony and very 70's, use it on woodwork as well, I'd rather replace the rad than paint it

Satin what sorry? White wall and ceiling paint?
I would replace the rad if we weren't moving house in a few months. Trying to save money on things like that that aren't worth the extra outlay, i.e. make the house look nice superficially.

i never use gloss.
and i have stripped the rads down for painting with radiator paint.

Satin wood, still an oil based paint like gloss just without the sheen and easier to paint and touch up, it's all the rage
