Went to a gay club tonight...

A straight person that hangs around with homosexuals :)

I deemed it less offensive than Fagstag.

Thanks. And I don't. I just happen to have a lesbian friend and a bi friend.

It is funny when you out with them though and you have a gorgeous fit woman sat there saying things like "I'd love to get that Cheryl Cole in the sack, the things I would do to her body) :)

I've found the gay bars in Notts pretty decent, if a little debauched -- however, the debauchery is generally NOT from the gays, but the straights that are there... couples three steps away from straight having sex on the dance floor because they seem to feel that the sexual openness of a gay club means they can do whatever they want.

Mind you, going for a whizz and finding a recently used condom in the urinal is a bit off-putting.

I tend not to get hit on too much; though I make a point of staying away from the Bear Bars. I'd be prime meat in there.

I've been to a gay bar a few times, but I go with my fiancée so don't have to deal with guys hitting on me. Pretty good night out all in all, especially watching the women get down with each other and make use of the pole dancing.

I went in one for my birthday a few years back and had an amazing laugh. My very naive friend couldn't understand what was going on.. :D

They can usually smell a straight bloke a mile off so it's unusual to be hassled.

I don't mind gay pubs/clubs tbh, no trouble, good music, all you have to do is tell them you're straight if you're approached - it helps if you go with a girlfriend. ;)

Girls go to gay clubs to get away from getting hit on all the time - maybe the same problem applies in reverse when men go to gay clubs. Just because he got annoyed at getting hit on by men all night doesn't automatically make him uncomfortable in his skin as you're saying. It would get annoying if it was happening all night - almost as annoying as getting chatted up by a whole load of stinking girls probably. But obviously you're so hip that not liking gay clubs is, well, gay.

Yes, you've got me, I am SO painfully hip. I only post on this computer hardware forum because I do it in an ironic, post-modern way, and my job in mid-level IT support really gets the girls swooning. I also drive a clapped out 13 year old Vauxhall Vectra because I consider myself to be a style aficionado and anything less than the "sub-standard; even for then" contours appeal to me and other's in The Scene.

We also refer to people like you as "normies".

So then, Norm, you don't have to love love love it (dharling), but giving it the "i'm never going near one again because men were interested in me" line is just a bit pathetic.

I've been a few times. The first time was the funniest, happened to look round and made eye contact with a guy for just a moment too long :/

The last time was the worst, got started on by probably the only other straight guy there
