What 42" OLED? (and a Panasonic question)

Per my other thread(s)... house renovations and changes mean it's probably time to replace my trusty Panasonic GT60 plasma. I've been super-happy with it, still am in fact but my hand is being forced slightly.

For someone that works in the film industry (with background in colour grading), the thing that matters the most to me is colour and image accuracy for movies and high-end TV. I don't really care what it looks like in the mid-afternoon sunshine :p For that reason I'm still leaning towards Panasonic, with perhaps LG nearly up there with them.

With that in mind, quick question regarding Panasonic's 42" models. It seems the LZ1500 has the 'Master OLED Pro' panel, but I'm seeing reviews that mention the 42/48 sizes actually do not have this, nor the heatsink. So am I right in thinking picture performance would be exactly the same as the LZ980? What else separates the two models at 42" sizes? They can both be found for £999 currently, are we expecting prices to go down? Or stock to disappear?

Thanks.

EDIT: I also saw on one site that the LZ1500 doesnt support Dolby TrueHD. Does that mean it can't passthrough uncompressed Atmos via eARC to a soundbar, as you would expect on a 4k disc?

Can't help with other questions but 42" is pretty darn small. What is your viewing distance?
We haven't got much of a choice, it's a traditional front room and the TV is going to be wall mounted above a new alcove unit much like the below. The alcove itself is only just over 1m wide so only a 42" will fit. Viewing distance is probably only 10ft or so (the room is 3.5m wide)

Do we think the 2022 models are going to come back in stock? I'm slightly disturbed that the 42" LZ1500 is "no longer available" at Richer Sounds or John Lewis...

Thanks @Simmz I didnt want to ignore you but had a lot going on the last couple of weeks. I see the 42" LZ980 is now back in stock at JL. My other half can get £50 off a >£500 spend, plus as a member can get £100 gift card back. Plus I can get 4.5% cashback.

Long story short, I'd be mad not to go for the 980 for £807 odd right? I honestly don't think there's any difference between the 980 and LZ1500 at that panel size. Both are not Master Pro panels, don't have the heatsink... only difference might be the sound which is irrelevant for me as I'll be getting a soundbar to go with it...
