Actually that's a good point and probably my best reason to upgrade. SGS2 cost me £10, it's a year old, immaculate condition. What could I get for it come the end of the year?

I meant sell the upgrade, not the S II. Could do it the other way around I suppose.
Considering there isn't many other phones coming out, if you sell it before the impending newer phones in the fall then maybe £200 - £220 with accessories? - Mine is in mint condition as well, never been dropped or anything!

Had a play with s3 today again and honestly i cant justify the upgrade from my s2 i think ill be waiting till something big comes out and really makes me want to upgrade!

The iPad 3 is the best tablet.
Only get an Android tablet if you need it for something that the iPad can't do.

Ive been using android tablets more in the last few weeks and comparing it to the iPad. I think the overall ui is better and I really dig the on screen buttons with ICS, it works very fast and made things like multi tasking much faster, the old ones on honeycomb were not as good and rather confusing. But in terms of apps the iPad was much better, I havnt used the iPad 3 but the screen should be a lot sharper too. Overally it comes down to the apps for most of the main stream users and that being the reason the iPad wins.
iPad 3 without a doubt. Android tablets are fine but they just lack the tablet orientated apps. If you want aps then the iPad is the way to go. I've got the 10.1 GTab on AOKP ICS at the moment it's fine but still not my cup of tea as I've got an Android phone which I use more than the tab so I'm going to sell my Gtab and get meself an iPad. Best of both worlds 
Also like the fact that the iPad has the retina display which is lovely in the amount of times I've been to PC World to have a play with (got one 2 mins away from my work office). I also prefer the 4:3 instead of the 16:9 tablets for some reason.
