What are the 30 year old plus gamers playing?

It’s that time of year now where the gaming interest wanes and I play very little. Although tonight the Missouri DLC comes out for American Truck Simulator so that will keep me entertained for a few days.

I'm exactly the same as you. I like gaming, but when the sun starts coming out and the weather gets better, which is has over the last week or two I prefer to get outside and start doing other stuff generally.

You've likely already looked for solutions, have you tried different FoV's, adjusting brightness or look to see if games use chromatic aberration, the latter especially used to make me feel very nauseous playing Destiny 2.

I had to turn CA off briefly playing Indy and the Great Circle. One specific scene made me nauseous and turning off CA immediately worked. Turned it back on 10 mins later and didn’t experience it again.

Felt a bit like trying to watch an old 3D movie but without the 3D glasses.

Only time it’s ever happened thankfully!

FOV is very important. I remember Hexen 2 giving me awful motion sickness in my youth, to the extent I could only play for around 30 minutes at a time.
I had to max out Cyberpunk FOV as the default made me a bit nauseous. Don't recall having it much before.

I haven’t I just assumed I was cursed with motion sickness on those kind of games

With FoV on some games it can be to low, experiment with higher values. Also another one I found that made me nauseous was head bobbing/sway or however it gets labelled, I think it was one of the early Far Cry games would make me feel sick after just a few mins before I turned it off.

Decided to take a break from Black Ops 6 and go back to GTA V. It's been so long since I played GTA I've forgotten everything and it feels like a new game. Loving it.

Keep playing all remakes of Warcraft, C&C, old Settlers series, all old Point&click adventure games.
Then new games - Dead Space, The Last of Us, Silent Hill 2, Alone In the Dark.

Just started playing Eve Online. I've played it in the past and always struggled to get into it, but I seem more interested this time. Still haven't got a clue what I'm doing lol.

Also just started Atomic Heart. Seems decent so far.

I have a whole bunch of games on my current rotation...

In no particular order, I am currently playing >

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Stalker 2
Path of Exile 2
Age of Wonders 4
Abiotic Factor
AC Shadows
Dying Light 2
Last Epoch
Lords of the Fallen (re-playthrough)
Khazan
Last of Us 2
Blue Prince (releases this week)

I've been enjoying this, it's like slay the spire but with turn-based auto-battles.
