Anyone got recommendations for an easy "pick up put down" game which plays well with a console controller on a TV? Time is at a premium now having a child, so something I can get in to, but not need to commit huge amounts of time to would be awesome.

Spiderman remastered was my last game which ticked this box, which makes me think I should just get Spiderman 2.

Picked up Indiana Jone s the great circle as come down to £32 now. Will start that tonight.
I've just started this on Amazon Luna.
Enjoying it so far.

It still blows my mind that games of this quality can be played with just a browser.

Edit - enjoying it so far, except for the amount of steps needed to perform an action.

It seems unnecessary to make me press three buttons for a single action like opening a door.
It could all be accomplished with a single key press.
Not take out the key, put the key in the door, open the door.

I play mostly Squad.
A 50 vs 50 multiplayer game.
Mostly super fun, except when it isn't and then it can be so annoying, I have in fact not played Squad at all so far in 2026.

Been through:
Baldur's Gate III, twice, last time with mods.
Cyberpunk 2077 w.mods

Hoping to start playing Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 in the next few months.

So i paid for no reason as i have prime lol

:D
I mean... Maybe you'll really like it and now you get to keep it?

There are downsides such as Amazon rotating the games in and out each month, so there's a chance it will leave before you get to finish it.

It's also the first time I've properly tried Luna and though it's been flawless so far and I think it looks great, I don't know how the game compares to running it natively.
You get very little control over the visual quality, and you are at the mercy of your internet connection compared to owning it.

So if any of that is a consideration then maybe it was worth the cost?

I've got Amazon prime, are all games now just streamed using Luna? They used to give you game keys too. Can't see that now. I've never used Luna before but might try it.

They still give you game keys every month, and you can download the Amazon games launcher to see what games you own on that platform.

The rest of the keys would have been redeemed in GoG or epic etc.

The streamed games are in addition to this.

You can see the latest games they're giving away here

Judgement is one of the best as well. It's a spin off series but the first game was excellent.
I enjoyed Judgment and have Lost Judgment on my wishlist too.

Currently playing Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.

It's a bit of a weird one in that it feels off with the tone and story of the main games and it kind of feels like Yakuza-lite reusing the Hawaii map from Infinite Wealth.

But, I am finding myself really enjoying playing it. There is something about the Yakuza series that is like putting on a pair of comfy old slippers. I actually think my general mood and emotional state have improved since I started playing it.

No problem.

I didn't realise how much Luna had on it.

There's Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, Hogwarts Legacy, the 3 Tomb Raiders, Fallout 3,4,NV, Death Stranding, Alan Wake 1 and 2, Skyrim and loads more. I should have jumped on it sooner given I'm paying for it anyway.

I've started with Indiana Jones because i don't own it, but i'm going to swap to KCD2 because I've just seen that it's leaving the platform in March. I know for a lot of people it was their GOTY for 2025.

Did 3 hours yesterday and am enjoying it, looks gorgeous.

Just to distract me from other hobbies and my modded play through of Fallout 4, I have started up Elite Dangerous for the first time in years.

Despite all the YT advice not to touch it, I got a Thrustmaster T.1600m Flight Pack which I am really enjoying getting used to. Need to nail down the bindings and add a dead zone to the pedals (my feet don't stay as still and it picks up the slightest shift).

I tried the Beam eye tracker trial via Steam and I am impressed with that, so will buy that when I can. Runs surprisingly well with a 1080p 30fps Logitech webcam. A 60fps one should be very smooth.
