Recently got back into Elite Dangerous after a very long break 5+ years, really enjoying it and the new content that Frontier have been adding, also taking part in the Distant Worlds 3 event that is running currently to explore new areas of the galaxy!

It made up for Battlefield 6 which I was kind of forced into buying by the group of gamers I play with most often, I have so many issues with that game and honestly it just makes me irritable and angry after playing so I stopped!

Not played it but for me it will be either Heroes of science and fiction which is out next month or Space Haven. Both out of EA this year so I can play them.
I’m looking forward to the full release of Space Haven :)

Edit : I hadn’t heard of Heroes of Science and Fiction, that looks great!

I hadnt heard of it either, looks like a scifi reskin of HOMM

Yeah that's what caught my eye in the first place, it even describes itself as a HOMM-like but it has extra mechanics, like base building and other stuff. Might not be that in depth (the extras) but point is they haven't just played it safe and gone for a 1:1 copy. Though that wouldn't bother me either as I've never played a HOMM game properly. I might not even like it!

To my complete non surprise though, indie games are vastly outnumbering AAA for me yet again in terms of interest, not sure what games like Dark Nemesis 40K and Shadow of The Road count as, maybe AA.

Also didn't realise Mewgenics was from Binding of Isaac person, I'll deffo try it.

The HOMM series is one of my all time favourites, especially HOMM 3 and 4, HOMM 8 (HOMM Olden Era) releases soon and I've already put a ton of time into its demo :)

Mewgenics is indeed by the BoI folks, very different type of game though, but crazy addictive if you like the genre.

I think HoMM might have been one of my first experiences of “just one more turn oh it’s now 4am” :p

Oh wait, just noticed that Heroes of Science and Fiction game doesnt have multiplayer, thats off my list then, will stick with Heroes Olden Era

Thankfully yes, that’s why it hasn’t been stuck in early access for 20 years adding a game mode that only you and three other people play :p

Yeah it will be fine for some folks, but this genre, for me, absolutely must have online multiplayer. Thankfully though HOMM8 is out this year, which has full online multiplayer so all is good, we both get the right game for us :)

Yeah, I won’t be playing the other one unless they separate it from Ubisoft launcher. Hopefully one day or there might be other means.

I'm ok with different launchers, dont really see the point in launchers but its not enough of an issue that it would stop me playing a game.

I think it’s the launcher coupled in with the fact they’re a complete piece of **** company and I honestly cannot wait until they disappear (human element aside, many ‘just work’ there).

If they do disappear I hope someone snaps up the Division series and the Anno series as I've always enjoyed those and the thought of never having a Division 3 or any more Anno games is a sad one to me
