Found this article and thought of this thread. What you guys/ladies think?

Geeze how out of touch.. Some of the best hardware is owned by the "grey gamers" as they can afford it and in most cases are tech enthusiasts.

I have a dilemma. I've got a full month off work and I could get some quality game time in. Problem is, I have no idea what will float my boat. Choices are:

1. Buy Death Stranding 2 at £69.99 as it's the only game I have on my wishlist that I think I could actually get into, based on the fact that I loved the first game.

2. Pay for 1 month subscription to Game Pass and see if there's something there that's been released in the past year or two that I could get into.

What to do, wise forum?

DS2 would be my choice since you enjoyed the 1st game. Not sure you'll get a whole month out of it though. You'll get more choice with a month of Game passs but will probably be inflicted with choice paralysis and end up playing nothing.

Finished 007 First Light yesterday evening. Thoroughly enjoyed the game - 8/10 for me. Looks & feels like a James Bond movie. I won't spoil the ending but the finishing credits strongly imply a sequel is in the offing.

I can afford it, but the £70 is killing me. Maybe it's an age thing...

Definitely DS2 for me, I also loved the original and thought it was excellent. I finished a few days ago and even completed all the achievements, which is very rare for me.

If you do go with game pass instead just make sure you identify stuff you definitely want to play first. I'd rather pay more for something I love than less to play games that are just okay.
