I just picked up Viewfinder on Steam for £7.

It's an exploration / puzzle game, not a million miles away from Blue Prince, but mix it with the Red Dwarf Episode called "Timeslides".

In Timeslides, you develop a photo, then you enter into the photo so that you become part of that scene. So in Viewfinder, you're doing the same in that you're grabbing photos inside of a level that you seemingly can't get out of, then use the photo as a timeslide to extend the level to the point where you can now escape it and progress to the next level. It's pretty original and very trippy! I also like the voice acting which is mainly from a girl called Jessie who guides you through the game. Currently on level 2.3 / chapter 1.
 
Never really got on with the Battle Royale mode in Bf6, the introduction ofthe casual quads variant has been handy and having never played (or had much interest) in fortnight or pub-g i simply didn't have a mental model for playing it.

I think in my age i've turned into a dirty 'casual' :)
 
I seem to be picking up and putting down games as opposed to actually finishing them.
- Mainly Final Fantasy 7 remake (up to chapter 10 but not touched it in around a week).
- Playing RV There Yet with workmate which has been most nights of the week
- Inbetweeny games (whichever I fancy at the time) are: Onimusha Warlords (again, nearly done), Hades (just started) and Megabonk. I will caveat, these 3 are all on my Deck and I'm going away for 2 weeks on Saturday, so these will be smashed in my downtime.
 
Tempted to pick up an Ayn Thor for retro games. Not sure if it's because I'm lacking the passion I had for games. Everything feels samey samey. Whilst the nostalgia calls, I wonder if it will actually get any longer term use.
 
Just finished Final Fantasy VII Remake. I've been gaming since the Vic20 and Spectrum days, and never played a FF game before. Really enjoyed it, until the ending, I've no idea what all that meant :). Had to watch a YouTube video to explain it to me.

Great game though, great graphics, and the combat is good once you work it out. Pressing onto the 2nd part this week and looking forward to the 3rd next year.
 
Doom The Dark Ages: Revelations (i.e. the new DLC). I've put less than an hour in so far, but my initial thoughts are:

1. The base game out of the box has been my reference point for smooth gameplay, but the DLC wasn't running as well. I changed a whole bunch of settings and made things worse. In the end switching the screen resolution down a bit solved it.
2. Unlike the base game which shows you the systems one at time and gets you up to speed, the DLC chucks you in at the deep end with a mass-brawl immediately with all the weapons available. Having completed the base game when it first came out ages ago, a quick refresher course would have worked well for me. On the other hand if you're going straight from completing the base game on to the DLC it would be perfect.
3. Still the same super fast action, great thumping sound track.

As a minor aside, I played the base game through Gamepass where it's still free, but the DLC is £18.

I love it :)
 
I thought about starting AC Black Flag Resynced but have a bit of the open world fatigue so I went with Sleep Awake. A short narrative walking sim with a weird/end of the world-ish setting. Some cool trippy visuals and blending of FMV.
 
Far cry 6 although it's on pause since I had a baby.
Kingdom rush alliance these tower defense games are good for puzzle stuff.
Mostly retro games, nes, SNES, arcade etc
 
Gave Thief a go over the weekend for the 90th time. For some reason I just can't ever really get into it. This time was better than all previous times though, I was genuinely enjoying it until I got to the level with zombies and I immediately lost all interest.
 
Just plunged straight back in to Bioshock again, taking time to absorb the murky depths as I go.

Had a look at what other games are available and nothing released in the last 12 months appealed to me.
 
Working through Horizon Forbidden West. It wasn't grabbing me like the first one but has picked up a bit now.

The Far Cry feel to it makes me want to start playing the FC games again.

I'm one of the strange people that loved Death Stranding so waiting for 2 to come down a bit on price.
 
Was going to 100% 007 First Light, then saw some of the challenges and lost the will to live... Kicking heels till Dawn of War 4 releases.
